Pick-Me Up Random Topic (Open)

Colleen was at her favorite shop, trying to explain to the bartender there that,

"They are called sprinkles, NOT JIMMIES, AND they go on top of the chocolate ice cream NOT the bottom, wat in bloody hell is wrong with you old man."

She always gave the man the same trouble everytime she came, because he never made the ice cream right, which made her mad yes, but the ice cream was really good, but she would not leave until he learned to make it right.

"Am I going to have to shoot this place up again just to get mine and everyone elses ice cream made right?"

"No, no no please not again, anything but that, I lost business for 3 whole weeks last time you did."

"Then make sure you do it right next time, got it."

"Yes mam."

Colleen gets up from her seat, and licks her her mouth clean from a bit of ice cream that was on her lips, and walks off outside of the diner, a smile on her face, she loved doing this kind of thing to people, scaring them that is, their reactions were each different so it always had some perks to keep on doing so haha.

Dante wandered through the town on the way to his favorite diner. They always made strawberry sundaes just the way he liked them there. He had just about reached it when he saw a familiar figure exiting the small shop. He groaned. Colleen. Last time he saw her, she got him banned from the Opera House in Fortuna AND stole all of Saraki's cash. She was not exactly a pleasant sight for the Devil Hunter. He decided to try and sneak by her, which was rather difficult when you wear a bright red trenchcoat and have a large sword on your back. He pressed himself against the wall and inched his way towards the entrance, hoping she wouldn't turn around and spot him. In reality a stupid plan. In Dante's mind, the workings of genius.

"So we meet again, Dante."

Colleen turns around and spots him trying to sneak around her.

Smiling she says.

"And what exactly do you think you are doing, trying to sneak past me, makes me think you dont like me much or something"

She has her hands behind her back(not on a weapon) and is bending foward, looking at him questioningly as she said this.

"Oh well guess there's no helping it, ill just be going, I was just about to go to your shop to see if you wanted, to go on a job wiht me that pays by the millions most of the time, but meh I dont think you can handle it."

And begins to walk off......

He was almost there...just a few more steps. And she turned around Dante gave a sheepish grin as she reprimanded him.

Come on, how could anybody (not) hate you?

He spoke flippantly, muttering only one of the words under his breath. He listened as she explained about a mission and the pay. He thought about it. Was the pay worth being around her? Finally he decided.

Hold on, I'm gonna grab a strawberry sundae and I'll be right behind you.

He called out before slipping into the diner. He grabbed his sundae, which the chef and started work on right when he saw Dante enter the door. Dante wasn't exactly varied in what he ordered.

"Am I really that predictable?" "Heheh. Maybe you should try ordering something else one of these days." "Maybe I will. Ya never know." "Heheheh." "Sorry to eat and run, but I've got money at stake!" "THATS MY DISH! DONT BREAK IT!"

He called out as he rushed out the door. He looked both ways and took another bite of his sundae. He spotted her not too far away walking off. He jogged up to her still eating his sundae.

So what's this mission about?

Simple enough, its an escort mission some rich billionaire wants someone to protect her while they move her."

Colleen pulls out a PDA, and puts on a pair of glasses.

"According to my info they are owners of a multibillion dollar family runs gun making business....legal guns for the military. They are often attacked during shipments by demons, and well, this time their are two shipment needing to get out, meaning two people are needed for the job, and you just so happened to be the first one to come to mind."

She then becomes quite and starts typing down something with a special little pen for the PDA, apperently she had more money management skill than Dante, though thats not saying much.

Dante listen closely as he walked along next to her. He was suprised at how businesslike she could be. It was nice to learn that she wasn't always loud and demanding. He took another bite of his sundae.

Sounds simple enough. So I'm assuming the shipments aren't going together, otherwise you could handle them yourself, right?

Secretly he hoped this was true, as he wasn't sure when she would end up swapping to her other persona. He ate a few more bites of his sundae and wondered what was going on. Why would devils attack the shipments of military trucks? It didn't make much since. The only conclusions he could come to was that the military had a special devil-hunting unit, or these guns weren't going to the military at all.

"Yes if they weren't seperate I could do this alone. And my sources tell me of another reason you dislike me besides my cover persona."

Thats right she was actually more like a business person, not the load obnoxious person he had seen before, she needed to test out to see if she really could change her persoanlity on the drop of a pin, and her little experiment worked, though she accidently got Saraki and Dante kicked out of the opera house.

"I know most about you, my sources reach all over, I even have informants that are demons, they dont lie to me hehe, they know I could kill them in less than a blink of an eye."

Dante was startled. So startled he almost swallowed his spoon. So she wasn't always like that. In fact she usually wasn't. Well that was good. He coughed the spoon back up and had another bite of his sundae, it was almost gone by now. A vast information network? Interesting.

So you know everything about me, eh? Does that mean you know who I got those tickets from?

He was of course talking about the opera tickets from before.

(Sorry bout the shortness, somebody else is BEGGING to use the computer....and its annoying)

"Oh one of my more recent aquirements hehe, lets see if I remember correctly, it was a woman named Kyrie wasn't it."

She starts batting around with her pen on the small PDA, then a small picture pops up and their she was the girl named Kyrie.

"See there she is, says here they were given to you as a present for saving her a while back."

She looks up with a gleem on her face her information was really almost top notch.

"And you seem to forget I also know the name of your father, your mother and your brother, lets see Sparda, Eva, and your brother Vergil. The reason you seem uneasy around me is because somehow I share a resemblence with him."
They soon reached another diner, when Colleen looked through a window. She turned her and looked inside. She saw a young man inside and a look of shock appered on her face.a

"Stay right here for a second."

She puts her PDA away and heads into the diner and up to the boy, slamming her hands down unto the table she begins yelling at him, not crazy yelling just more like motherly aggitated yelling.

"What the hell have you been doing here we were worryed sick when you didn't come back to the shop, why didn't you tell me you came back right after getting to town hmmm."

"Uhhhhh, I only just got here I didn't think I run into you so soon, I was planning on calling you just now."

"Sure you were, you know how she gets when your gone, she almost jumped out her window in the middle of her sleep waiting for you,sleeping on the couch downstairs with her recorded soap on."

"Ok, ok i'll get back just after this."

The waiter moves carefully behind Colleen, and then places the food on the table.

"Fine, but if she calls me up and tell me your not back, before 9 o' clock momma's gonna bring the hurt got it."

"Ye ye yes ma mam."

"Good, ... Now I have to be off i'll catch ya later."

Then she leaves the diner as if nothing had happened. Smiling and giggling while she walked back to Dante and began walking again.

"That was Erik, one of my partners, he has a crush on my other partner Georgia, she likes him too, but both are too idiotic to admit it, so I have to act like that when around them in order to try to help them along tiresome really but fun all the same."

Dante continued to follow along, eating his strawberry sundae as he listened to Colleen tell him how much she knew about him.

With that kinda knowledge you probably have cameras in my shower

He was joking around when she vanished into a diner. He sat and watched, hearing all of what she said and most of what he said through the glass. He chuckled as he watched, finishing off his ice cream shortly before she came out. He glanced about looking for a place to put the empty dish before remembering the chef's words. He ended up sliding it into his inner coat pocket. He chuckled as she shared her workplace gossip with him.

"Haha cameras in your bathroom...No actually I have tracking devices placed on any one I have interest in working with."

Colleen was taking out a pair of keys when they both ended up at her shop, her shop was on the other side of the residential section than Dante's. Instead of going inside through the door, she jumps up unto her little balcony to her room and uses the key one the door up their. She enters her room, and walks up towards her desk inside and pulls out a small note, it had the address for the mission, she needed to make sure she had the dates and address right before she left. All of a sudden a loud creaking noise and then Georgia pops into to the room, masscara running down her face and her lipstick smeered, she had been crying most of the night, because Erik had been gone too long.

"Waaaaaaaaaaaaaah, hehe he stiiiiilll hasn't cooooooome baaaaaack waaaaaaah."

She runs in and tackle-glomps Colleen a hanky her her hand, and completely bawling her little head off.

"Ouch, haha its ok he just got back today, but he was at the diner with another woman, you better call me when he gets home and i'll tell you what you should do, ok."

*sniff "Ok"

"I'll be back later ..... late most likely."


She pushes Georgia back out of the room, and locks the door, and then exits to the balcony, and closes and locks that door too.

"Alright lets go, I rechecked my information and im ready to go."

She jumps down and begins to walk towards a fancy convertable.

"Ahh I guess i'll take Georgia's car this time."

Colleen jumps into the driver seat, and raises her hand into the air beckoning Damte to come and sit down.

Dante watched as Colleen hopped up to the balcony. He found the move startling, as he was expecting her to just go through the front door. He groaned. Doesn't anybody walk through the front door these days? He stood there listening to what sounded like sobbing and heard snatches of conversation, not really listening. He simply waited, rather impatiently. In fact, he was about to hop up there himself when she returned. He sighed in relief. She led him to a rather nice looking car, to which he whistled in appreciation.

You travel in style...

He opened up the door and lazily plopped down on the passenger side, not in the mood for any acrobatics. He then made himself comfortable, putting his feet up on the dash and closing his eyes as if he were about to take a nap.

So I'm assuming you know where we're going?

"I know the way, but I want to be lazy."

She pushes a small blue button on the dashboard, and a small screen pops out where the radio was. It was a GPS, she punches in the address, and clicks the screen. Then she click a small panelon the screen. And circles what appeared to be a name, and then a picture of a phone appeared on screen as it began to ring. Someone then picked up.

"Yes?"

"Hello, it's me."

"Oh yes, your shipment has just come in mam, i have it ready for pick up."

"Got it i'll be right their, and i'm bringing a guest."

"Guest, hmm not Erik or Georgia.?"

"No, not them they have their own issues to deal with at the moment, anyway he will be coming in with me so i need you to set it up on the scanner ok."

"Of course mam."

"Bye."

Colleen clicks the screen again, and it goes back to the GPS screen, and they continued to where the person she was talking to was.

"Now I want you on your best behavior, the man your about to meet, is very old fashion and doesn't take lightly to anyone who doesn't show proper respect to his work."

As she says this they pul off of a main road and as she does a large panel opens up and swallows the car, and they enter into a tunnel.

Dante rested the whole time, not really sleeping, but close to it. He heard all that was said and filed away the information for future use. He didn't respond when she told him to be on his best behavior. His nap was only interrupted when they suddenly found their way underground. He furrowed his brow without even opening his eyes.

Hey. Who turned out the sun?

He peeked through mostly lidded eyes, seeing what he could about their current location.

Underground base, huh?

(Meh. Didn't have much to go on...)

"Is not a base for say, we just like our privacy."

Colleen was still driving, and then they stopped, it was still dark, but Colleen steps out of the car, shuts the door, and begins to walk, to the front, *click, she pushes a button and a door opens up to th right. She walks over and walks in.

"Hey sleaping beauty hurry up. Crawford we're here."

"Jus a minute."

"I'll be waiting. By the way I brought someone whom you may know, by reputation."

"Who?"

Someone comes up a set of steps, it was a semi-elderly gentleman, he had dark black hair, with shades f grey here and there. His face was slightly wrinkled, and he was actually still rather tall, at least Dante's height. His left arm was prosthetic, and he had one blind eye.

"So you've, come for the new series, hmmm, well i'll tell you its heavier, hehe but its power is twice as much now."

He pulls a huge brifecase from his back, and places it on a table in front of her. Colleen is smiling as she opens it up. Their they were, her guns, Yin & Yang. Yang needed to be upgraded since Yin was still a bit more powerful, she needed to have them evened out.

"I even upgraded Yin so that they were closer in power."

"Awesome."

"Ok, so I also added, a laser pointer, and a small scope to the guns and, increased the length of the barrels."

"Hmmm, seems good enough, ok."

Colleen, picks up both guns and puts them in their holsters, on her waist.

"I gonna go test these out, be nice while im gone."

Crawford looks at Dante with a stern look on his face.

Dante didn't even get out of the car until Colleen was already almost done talking to the old man. He slid out of the car, slamming the door behind him, he stretched and shuffled his way over to the man.

Yo, old man, er Crawford, was it? What am I supposed to do?

He spoke lazily with a yawn before scratching his chest with a hand.

You guys got anything to eat? Pizza or something? That sundae didn't quite fill me up.

Colleen had told him to be on his best behavior and he immediately asks for food at the first chance he gets. In actuality he was only acting this way to spite her.

"Right off the bat, not heeding her warning, hehe."


The old man began to give off a frightening aura, one even more powerful than Dante's even during the R-rated stuff. The man's prostetic arm was moving, meaning then he was a cyborg.

"She told me too be nice, hm but lets jsut see how good you really are, we have about 5 minutes before she returns."

The old man flips the table at Dante and less than a second shot 4 shots through the table sending bullets flying at Dante, only these bullets were blessed and would have quite the effect on Dante if they managed hit him.

"I know what you are."

The table passed right through Dante's previous location before slamming back into the ground.

You know, for an old man, you've got some moves.

The voice came from a few inches behind him, Dante stood there as if he had been there the whole time. Before the man had a chance to turn around Dante was on the move again.

I'd fight back, but I'm afraid I'd break your weak old bones.

He spoke with a smirk on his face that could even be heard in his voice.

"Hmm i'd like to see you try boyo."

The old man was right behind Dante, as quickly as Dante had been behind him.

"I'd like to see you try to break my bones."

The old man's hand began to change, into a machine gun on the inside, and he placed out his fingers on that same hand, into a handgun (literally), as 3 shots a second came out at Dante.

"Lets see just how quick you are then."

Dante was instantly on top of one of the legs of the upturned table, balancing perfectly on one leg. A smirk was on his face, masking the surprise that was behind it. Who was this guy?

Well then, old fart. I'll just go easy on ya. I'll just promise not to use any sharp objects.

Dante winked before lunging in the air flipping, ending the move with a kick downward at Crawford's shoulder.

Crawford didn't move an inche, the kick landed but nothing happened, all you could hear was a clunk.

"Hehe a simple kick like that isn't going to hurt me boyo."

The old man grabbed Dante's leg and and began attempting to break it. You hear a crack, thinking he did the job he moves to toss Dante into the wall. Keeping his "gunhand" on Dante, ready to shoot.

Dante was startled when his foot didn't slam his shoulder out of place. Maybe holding back so much wasn't a good idea...His arm shot out, grabbing Dante's leg. A loud snap was heard before he was thrown against the wall. Dante looked up at Crawford from his position on the ground and began to laugh.

Wow, old man. You're pretty good. I think you even broke my leg.

He used his arms to pull himself to his feet. Experimentally he tried to put some weight on the broken one. His face winced in pain.

Yup. You broke it.

He took the weight back off and looked down at it, grimacing. Then he lunged at the man spontaneously, without warning, jamming his shoulder into Crawford's chest to knock away his breath.

Crawford's body slightly bounces back back he is just smiling the whole time.


"Ahh, now's the time to show you my real form."

The old body of the man began to change, but into a younger more muscular person.

"You see demon-boy, i am not even human in the first place, I am what you call CC 3.0, meaning i am a changling cyborg."

As he says this Colleen appears back through the door.

"How did he do CC3?"

"He didn't die after the intial attack, so i'd say pretty good, but i accidently broke his leg, or more like a fracture."

"Why must you do THAT."

Colleen goes back through the the door and about 10 seconds later appears through the door once again, this time with a small bottle in her hand.

"Here this should fix you up Dante, sry I had to put you through that, I still to work out some kinks on CC3 here."


"Yeah but Miss Colleen you know i'll just modify myself stronger."

"You dunderhead, im talking about fixing and upgrading your control system again sheesh."


She tosses the bottle towards Dante, the bottle looked funny with a small chibi skeleton on it winking, with a small heart on it.

Dante bounced off the chest, startled that he hadn't winded the man and that his skin was so hard. He looked up, confused, yet not showing it. He watched in suprise as the man shed his disguise and appeared much younger. He smirked, it was starting to make sense. At first he thought he was losing his edge, but now he knew that he'd have to not hold back at all to have a chance at bringing his opponent down without the use of weapons. He deftly caught the bottle and looked at it, trying to figure out what was in it.

You know, if this is for my leg, don't bother. It'll be usable enough in a few minutes and it'll be perfectly fine in about an hour or so.

He looked up at Crawford or "CC3" as he now knew.

That was a pretty good fight. We should do it again some time, promise not to hold back so much.

He winked, as if making an important promise.

"Hehe by the time we meet again boyo i'll be even more powerful, and that wasn't even 10% of my total power, but alas Colleen didn't build me for fighting but for durablity."

Colleen was beaming she knew this was goin to be fun if Crawford had to use even that amount of his power.

"Well that will make you better within seconds, and we will need to MAKE SURE your body is healed, because we dont have an hour."


Suddenly a red flashing light goes off and an alarm began to sound.

"Someone's trying to get in hurry get out of here."

Colleen runs out of the room but not towards the car, towards another door. She pushes the button, it scaned her finger and opened up inside youe see her motorcycle, and to some wierd sight Dante's too. She gets on hers and tosses the keys to his bike to him and starts up her bike, and begins to drive off.
