Bad Qualities: Dante's energy is easily drained and he is weak to holy weapons, he also falls into monetary debt rather often, He also has a cocky attitude that gets him into trouble often.

Appearence: Dante is typically seen wearing a red overcoat over a blue shirt. He has medium length white hair.

History: Dante is the son of the Demonic warrior Sparda and a human woman.

When Dante was eight years old, he and his family were attacked by demons. His mother was killed, and though both Vergil and Dante survived, the twins were separated, and Dante believed Vergil to be dead.

Dante opened a shop called the Devil May Cry, where he hunts demons. He ended up heading to Temen-ni-gru on an invite from his brother who was trying to take their father's power. He defeated his brother Vergil, who stayed behind in the Netherworld.

Dante then met a girl named Trish, whom he became partners with. They met when she was working for the demon emperor Mundus. He travelled to Mallet Island with her and found his brother, Vergil who was being manipulated by Mundus. He got the other half of the medallion that Vergil had and put the two halves together. Creating the sword Sparda. He used it's power to defeat Mundus and rescue Trish.

A while later Dante heard of a group of people known as "The Order of the Sword" who worship Sparda as a god. He went to Fortuna and ran into a man named Nero who was part demon himself. After a battle, he left for the Order of the Sword's headquarters. Where he ran into "The Savior", an artificial demon made by the order. He then made his way back to Fortuna, closing and destroying demon doors along the way. When he made it back to Fortuna he defeated The Savior, rescuing Nero from it's inards. Afterwards, Nero destroyed The Savior with his Devil Bringer.
